Rear View Safety vehicle flood lights has integrated camera

In addition, both cameras come with a wide 140° viewing angle and are totally waterproof with an IP68 rating. It makes perfect sense after all, since your vehicle will have to go through rain from time to time.

These cameras will be able to not only help you see better what is in front and at the back, they are also the perfect eyewitness in the unfortunate event of an accident. Since they are mounted high on top, you get a far better view of your surroundings than a mere reverse camera that most modern vehicles sport these days. I also like the fact that these are useful when it comes to camping, as the flood light will not only help you scare away unwanted animals who might threaten you, but you can also have a better sense of safety while remaining inside the vehicle as you check out your surroundings through the camera itself.

There is no word on pricing on both the square and circle models, but one thing is for sure: in the event of a zombie breakout, they’d be extremely handy.

Just to make sure that the DragonFly Pod is safe to travel in, it has a top speed of 20 miles per hour. Now that is painfully slow when you take into consideration the “normal” speeds that one would drive at on a freeway. However, do bear in mind that the DragonFly Pod has been designed, at least in this point of time, to function in limited areas/environments such as corporate and university campuses, as well as in places with limited traffic with the main objective of transporting employees and goods. In the future, when imbued with newer technology enhancements, PerceptIn hopes to be able to deploy vehicles suited for high-speed scenarios.

All in all, the DragonFly Pod goes to show how far technology has come in just a couple of years, where connected vehicles continue to grow and advance by leaps and bounds, with autonomous models like this gaining traction and acceptance among the masses.

Fisker’s EMotion makes its mark with new solid state battery

An electric car is not something that all of us are able to afford, although some of us do dream of driving up in a Tesla that offers exceptional acceleration performance with looks that could kill. However, if there is one thing about electric cars that continue to invoke doubt in motorheads, it would be the battery life. Most electric vehicles have to “suffer” from limited range and long charging times (relatively speaking) as opposed to a petrol or diesel-powered ride. Fisker would like to turn such conceptions upside down with their modern day marvel, the EMotion that will be powered by the patent-pending Fisker Flexible Solid-State Battery.

What makes the Fisker EMotion so special? Well, apart from its stunning looks and performance capabilities, it will run on the Fisker Flexible solid-state battery that is capable of delivering 2.5 times the energy density of lithium-ion batteries, hence allowing it to achieve a maximum range of up to 400 miles on a full charge. Even better yet is the fact that it can take less than a minute to power up the battery, making it faster to “fuel up” so to speak compared to the traditional petrol-powered ride.

With an estimated top speed of 161 mph, the Fisker EMotion is no slouch, and this all-wheel drive with 24″ low rolling resistant Pirelli tires is set to blaze new trails. We love the fact that this is a level 4 autonomous driving vehicle, and it is also smart enough to have the doors open and close through a smartphone. On the outside, there are unmovable flush touch handles which will be illuminated, making it more advanced that seemingly standard issue keyless entry models.

For passenger comfort, there are inductive charging ports and special holders for up to a quartet of smartphones to keep up with the times, and to cap it all off, it has four individual, electric adjustable seats that will wrap passengers in ultra soft leather. Hopefully we can see this roll out sooner rather than later, and will keep a keen eye open for the price.
