A person is a lot heavier than a canopy and could cause the canopy and/or tent to completely collapse hurting anyone underneath it at the time. If you need a hammock, look for a portable option that unfolds just like the tent.

Q: Can you grill under a pop-up tent?

A: In a pinch, you could technically grill under a pop-up tent, but you would have to deal with a ton of smoke and possibly an open flame. It would be better to leave your grill outside of the tent and stand under it when not actively grilling.
